Geoff came to First United Methodist Church as senior pastor in 2005. Previously he has served four other appointments in Missouri – Trinity and West Pleasant Valley United Methodist Churches in Bloomfield (1978-1983), Wesley United Methodist Church in Jefferson City (1983-1988), First United Methodist Church in West Plains (1988-2000), and CrossRoads United Methodist Church in Belton (2000-2005).

| Jeremiah joined the First UMC staff as associate pastor in July 2006. He recieved a B.A. in Speech Communications from Missouri Southern State University in 2002 and a Master of Divinity from Asbury Theological Seminary in 2006 before coming to Sikeston. Jeremiah's primary duties involve worship planning, pastoral care, and outreach.

Shannon Clay is the Director of Children's Ministries. Her duties include training teaching staff for Sunday school, and implementing special children's activities such as Vacation Bible School, the annual Easter Eggstravaganza, and the children's Christmas program. Shannon joined the staff at First United Methodist Church in October 2006.
Shannon received a B.S. in psychology from Southeast Missouri State University in 1992. She decided to continue her education, and received a B.S. Ed. in Early Childhood Education, in 1998, from Southeast Missouri State University. Shannon taught in the public school system for 12 years, before deciding to pursue other avenues in her field.

The Director of Senior Adult Ministries is Elaine Posegate who joined the First UMC staff in July 2007. In this position, Elaine contacts and visits seniors who are no longer able to be as active as they once were. Her contacts include members, affiliates and family of members.
Elaine has a BS in social work from the University of Missouri-St. Louis. She brings 25 years experience as a social worker, with over 17 years in the geriatric field to the position. She feels very blessed to have the opportunity to work with the senior adults of First UMC.

| Terry has been Chancel Choir Director since 1997, and sang in it for many years previous. She graduated from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale with a degree in Music Education. She taught public school vocal music for 25 years before semi-retiring to be able to be able to spend more time with her son.

Pat has been employed with First UMC since 1990 and has been Administrative Assistant since 1994. She handles day to day duties in the church office. Working with the members of the congregation, and the church's various ministries, is a special blessing.
A graduate of Kansas State University in Manhattan, KS., she was formerly a reporter/writer of The Daily Standard, now known as the Standard Democrat, and served as managing editor of that publication for about 10 years.
